FOOTBALL.
HUNTLY, Monday
The match Huntly v. Ngaruawahia, played under the auspices of the Waikato Rugby Union at Huntly on Saturday, was a fast one throughout, both sides exhibiting some good play. Despite the efforts of their opponents, the match ended in a win for the representatives of the milling township by four points to three (penalty goal). For the winning team, Currie, Clout, Edkins, D. Gray and B. Ralph played a good game, as also did Marshall, Myles, Park.es and Welsh for the losing side. During .the play one of the Ngaruawahia men collided with T. Jones (Huntly), who was in the act of kicking the ball, with the result that Jones fell to the ground with a broken leg. No blame can be attached to the other player. This is the third time that Jones has had the same leg broken while playing football.—(Own Correspondent.)
