LONDON, June 25.
Details of the tight at Keitz on the 3th inst. show that a British force surprised a convoy of Boers, who lied, but when they saw the fewness of their opponents returned and charged with gTeat determination, and by desperate fighting1 succeeded in recapturing the Boer convoy. Meanwhile, the Leelisle reinforcements arriving-, the Boers lay under their waggons, firing unflinchingly between the wheels, while some inspanned the cattle and drove off the waggons furthest from the British, who, by splendid gallantry, pushing amongst the wheels, the traces and the poles of the waggons, bayoneted the enemy whenever possible. De la Eey himself took part in the firing. Both his neighbouring fighters were •killed. The fight ended in a series of hand-to-hand encounters aud fierce melees.
