WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION.
Excellent progress has been made in sinking at the main shaft from the 500 foot level.' The manager reports that over 25 feet have been sunk. The south drive, where the Empire lode is expected to be met with, is passing through splendid country, and is now in 530 feet. At the Waihi West section the shaft is now down 488 feet, and will be continued to 500 feet, where openiug up will be pushed ahead.
