Details of the Ventersdorp are now published. The Boers concealed themselves until the convoys with their escorts separated, going to their respective destinations. Some of the Boers that attacked the rear of the Ventersdorj) section. The Potchefstroon escort returned, skirmishing-, working round the enemy. As soon as the British fixed bayonets the Boers bolted.
