CHEISTCHURCH, this day.
Walter Narbey was found guilty at the Supreme Court to-day of sheep stealing-, and was admitted to probation by Justice Cooper. This morning the criminal sessions finished, and the civil started. A petition, by Hugh McLauchlan for dissolution of marriage on account of his wife's adultery in 189t> a few days after the marriage was refused. Judgment was given for C. Palairet in a case against Champion for £500, balance of unpaid principal and interest on mortgage. WELLINGTON, this day. At Carter ton a writ for £500 for libel has ben served on Mr Hornsby, member for Wairarapa, by W. Moriarty, ar. storekeeper here. The case will be heard at the Masterton District Court on June 26. presentation of New Zealand University degrees and honours will take place at Wellington on June 26; Christclmrch, June 28; Dunedin, July 5; and Auckland, July 11.
