FATAL ACCIDENTS.

CHRISTCHURCH, this day.

A man named John Morton sustained a fracture of the skull yesterday whilst taking a heavy bath off a lorry. He died in the hospital this morning.

COROMAXDEL, this day

The fourteen months' old child of Robert Kraser, of the Upper Township, was found drowned in the water course close to its parents' residence last evening-. The mother was attending a sick child at the time, and the little one must have orawl.ed away from the house and fallen into the water. An inquest was held this morning, and a verdict of accidentally drowned was returned.

WESTPORT, this day.

William Hendy was killed at the Deunistou coal mine by a fall of coal.
