THE LAUNCH WAIWIRI.
The steam launch Waiwiri, recently built by Mr C. Baileyjun., to the order of Messrs H. F. Cook aud Co., to be used in whaling operations on the coast, went out for a trial spit) yesterday afternoon. The lauueu covered the distance of throe knots from Beau lloek lighthouse, against wind and tide, in a little less than -0 minutes, which means a speed of over nine knots per hour. This afternoon the Uovernineiu Inspector went out oa an inspection trial, aau the launch leaves for the North tn-morrow,
