SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT CAMBRIDGE.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
CAMBRIDGE, this day.
Mick Gallagher, the eight year son of Mr Gallagher, of the Criterion Hotel, met with an accident j^esterday, which was nearly fatal. Pine trees at the school were being fellod, and the branches trimmed. A large log was on a slope, and some boys who were playing about started it rolling. It knocked young Gallagher down, and rolled over the lower part •of his body, fortunately not reaching the heart, but the stomach, spine, and legs were badly crushed. Di\ Roberts hopes the boy will pull round, but cannot say what the internal injuries are until a further examination is made. This morning the boy was bright and cheerful, though his legs were paralysed.
