In Chambers at the Supreme Court this morning His Honor Mr. Justice Conolly ordered the divorce case, Ede v. Ede and Corbett, to be heard at the ensuing civil sittings by the Court without a jury. Mr. Pitzherbert appeared for the petitioner, in support of the motion, and there was no appearance of either respondent or co-respondent. |
Messrs J. Wilson and Co. have secured the Public Works and Railway contracts (Auckland section) for Portland cement (their own make) for the year ending March, 1902, and Messrs P. Hutson and Co., their Wellington agents, tender for the same contracts has 'been accepted for Wellington section. Messrs Wilson and Co.'s works are running night and day, and more kilns are being constructed. Their output is the largest in the colony, and their works the longest in operation.
