Lieutenant and Tiki kept well together for the lirst round, when Tiki rushed to the front, drawingl right away. However, sriking the hurdle he tired fast in the last quarter and Perseverance headed him before the turn, winning by four lengths. .'Royal Conqueror fell. Lady Dash and Capl'ord pulled tip.
