An enjoyable hour was spent by the large nbmber of people that attended the second of the series of "Pleasant Evenings" inaugurated by the Rev, John Wilkins in Connection with the Beresford-st. Congregational Churchu The speaker for the occasion was the Rev.-Hugh Kelly, M.A., pastor of Knox Church, Parnell, and it is almost needless to add that his remarks were listened to with marked .interest and manifest pleasure. Mr Horace Stebbing sang "Consider the Lilies" and "The Holy City" admirably. Mr W. J. Hookey, church organist,. also contributed an andante movement by , Batiste,
