GREAT RIDE TO A; RENDEZVOUS.
COMMANDOS DISTRUSTFUL.
LONDON, May 21
De Wei, escorted by forty men, made a wonderful ride from Vrede, in the extreme north-east, to Philippolis, near Orange Paver, #. distance of about 400 miles, to consult with Hertzog and the Orange River Colony commandos, who were ordered- to concentrate at the rear of the Orange River. They decline to follow De Wet, alleging that he is too dangerous.
