The Agricultural Department received tho followlug cablegram from the Agent-Gener-al to-day, dated the 18th lust.:— Butter. 07/. There Is only a small demand for butter. Cheese: White, 48/; coloured, 44/. The. hemp market is firm.- Good fair Wellington, £'Jo Id/} fair current Manila, £3S 10/. Cocksfoot: There in no pressure to sell coclsfoot seed. The market it firm. Mutton: The Canterbury supply is very heavy and accumulating. Canterbury— Prime. 4«1Ij to iitilb, source, 4d; 561b to 04*1 b, Sid; heavy. 3d. Duncdin and Wellington— Small. ,'Ud: heavy. 2Jd. North IslandSmall, .'lid; heavy, 2§d. Lamb is steady. Canterbury, 321b to 381b, u',d; heavy. 4?<J; Australian, ~4J<l. Beef is dull. Hindquarters, 3fd; foreqnarters, 3d.
