His Lordship Bishop Lenihan made his visitation to the Church of the Assumption, Onehunga. yesterday, being accompanied by the Revs. Fathers Pur" ton and Costello. At the conclusion of the ten o'clock mass His Lordship gave a discourse on the duty of Catholics to assist the orphan homes. Subsequently the churchyard was visited where prayers for the souls of the faithful departed were said. At three o'clock in the afternoon, in the presence of a large congregation, he administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to sixty children, thirty boys and thirty girls, the latter presenting a pleasing appearance, being dressed in white and wearing wreaths and veils. His Lordship delivered ;i stirring.* address to those confirmed, pointing out'the duties and responsibilities they had that day taken upon themselves. The ceremony was concluded with the Benediction of the -Blessed Sacrament.
