FIRE BRIGADE CONCERT.
A concert in connection with the Eden Terrace Firo Brigade was given last evening, the hall being full. A varied programme, arranged by Mr. IT. Chatwin, was gone through as follows, there being several encores: Overture, Mr. E. Lanigan; song, "The British Navy," Mr. B. Bryant; song (comic), "Hot Time," Mr. Holdsworth; song, "Britons Brave and True," Mr. J. Donovan; song and dance, "I Couldn't Stay Away," Mr. Elder; song, "Only Once More," Mr. W. Harkins; song . (comic). "Miss Blossom's Party," Mr. White; song (comic), "Rainbow," Mr. 11. Chatwin; song, "The Sleeping Camp," Mr. B. Donovan; finale, Professor Payne; song, "Lads of the Navy Blue," Mr. B. Bryant; song (comic), "Getting It By Degrees," Mr. White; song, "I Love Her Still," Miss L. Mead; sailor's Hornpipe," Mr. A. Elder; song, Mr. B. Donovan; mandolin and guitar selection, Misses R., E. and J. Mattocks, Messrs. Beuth and Doree; song (comic), Mr. H. Chatwin; song, "Alice, Where Art Thou?" Mr. W. Harkins; recitation, "Kissing Cup's Race," Mr. J. Donovan; duet, (comic), "The Two Micks," Messrs. Chatwin and White. During an interval Mr. Cleveland (chairman of the district) presented a bar to Capt. W. 11. Butler, 12 years' service; a medal to Foreman T. Moor, 5 years' service; and a framed certificate to Fireman W. Wharton, 3 years' service. Medals have also to be presented to Firemen J. Pooley and M. Welch. Mr. E. Lanigan played the accompaniments.
