THE TORCH.

H.M. Torch arrived here about, 10 o'clock this inormug, anchoring, in the man-of-war ground. The vessel has been home to England since her last trip here; and during her visit has^undergone some alterations in rigging. She arrived at Wellington from Sydney on April 30, leaving for Lyttelton on Thursday, May 2. She left Lyttelton for 'Auckland on Monday last, and arrived as Above. The vessel is now commanded by Captain N. G. McAlister, assisted by the following officers:—l^rst lieutenant, Mr M. Whyte; navigating lieutenant. Mr C. Seymour; surgeon, Dr. S. Bernard; chief engineer/E. J. Weeks; paymaster,' A. P. Hopkins; gunner, J. Kelly. The vessel waits here till over the visit of the Duke and ■Duchress of York. .
