THE STORY OF A DEAD CHINAMAN.

PERTH, this day

At an inquest on the body of a Chinaman who was found dead in the bush near the city, evidence was given that at~the end of last month it was reported to the police that the Chinaman was suffering from plague, but other Mongolians denied the report. In tlie meantime they had their countryman removed to a. lonely spot, where he died of plague. The cart which took him to the bush brought back a lead of vegetables and pork to the city.
