AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB'S MEETING.
Tlie Auckland Trotting Club brought its autumn meeting to a successful conclusion yesterday. The. sum of £2337 10/ was passed through the totalisator in 10/ tickets, making £5390 10/ for the meeting. My. A. R. Harris was judge, and Mr. Fred Edwards starter. Tin- meeting was well managed by .Mr. P. Marks, secretary, and the. committee. The concluding events resulted as follows:
Handicap Steeplechase, of 25sovs„ second horse to receive 3sovs. from the stake. About two miles and a half.—(l2l) W. Stokes' eh m Fairy, >\y Lionel, lO.f, (Oeach), 1; (317) J. Tooman's Little Tom, 10.10 (Neville), 2; (52) T. Brain's Little Raven. 9.7. 3. Also started: 205, Hinemoa, 12.4 (McEwan); 32, Spreydou, 10.0 (Butler): 49; Creel, 9.5 (Morris); 27, The Flower, 9.5 (Long). Hinemoa took the lead at tbe start, but came down at the wall. Little Tom (ben leading The Flower. The latter came down at tbe back, and Fairy joined the leader. These two kept together in tbe second round, and in tbe run up tbe straight Fairy outran Little Tom. winning- by two clear leng-ths. Time, 5.37. Dividend, £3 6/.
Autumn Harness Trot, of 45sovs., one mile and a half.—(237) W. C. Hird's Billy Wilson, by Vaucleve, 12s. (Hird). 1. ' Also started: 187. Albert Victor, scratch (Duncan); 5.",. Harold Abdallab, 2f>s. (Chatteris): 25, Empress, ROs. Bryant): 42. Heiress. :14s. (Baker): 33, Slim Jim. 3Gs. (Sandall); 49, Black Bess, 30s. (Bagby). Empress went to tbe front at the cutting, where Slim Jim broke badly, Empress being second and Slim Jim third. Vn the straight Harold Abdallab challenged tbe leader, but Empress finished four yards ahead, Lilly Wilson being third. Tbe first and second horses were disqualified for galloping and inconsistent running respectively, and the race awarder! to Billy Wilson. Tbe stakes and totalisator investments were impounded pending the decision of an appeal lodged. Time: For Billy Wilson. 3m. 535.; Empress, 4ra. 9s. Dividend: Empress. I'll 5/; Billy Wilson, £1 3/.
Farewell Handicap, of 25sovs.; for ponies 14 hands li inches and under. Five furlongs.—(l6s) E. Putt's The Spray, by Lebel—Leona, 7.6 (A. Johnson), 1; (205) S. J. Matthews' Little Wonder, 10.1 (Johnson), 2; (238) G. 11. Greenwood's Lady Howitzer, 10.2 (T. Greenwood), 3. Also started: 39, Miss Lane. 9.8 (Neville); 304 (Ivan), 10.1, including Tibs penalty (Cunning); 124, First Whisper, 9.1 (Kelly); 35, Leona, 8.9 (McTCwen); 5, Creel, 7.6 (Tighe); 37. Lan.teros, 7.0 (Fletcher). Won hy a head, F.ady Howitzer half a length away third. Time, 1.7*. Dividend. £3 16/.

Tomer's The Joker, 6s. (W. Tozer), ■'. Waitekauri was never caught, and won by several lengths from Albert Victor. Time, 2. .-.9. Dividend, 19/.
