A meeting1 of the general committee of the Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held -"yesterday, at which there was a good attendance. Several ne%v members were elected. The following executive committee was appointed for the ensuing- year:—Messrs •I. Coatea, R. Reynolds. W. G. Farrer, F. J. Marshall, W. 0. Park, Ed. Allen, and S Steele Mr Butler was reappdint-. Ed secretary. A long- discussion ensued re the McNicol Memorial tups.. It was suggested that they should in. future be called only memorial cups, but that did riot meet with favour.
Mr-Fairer moved that cups b£ allotted in rotation for various classes, and after a long discussion a committee was appointed to report onthe matter, the secretary also to report on classes to which they were allotted in1 previous years, and the number of entries received. It was decided to adopt the method of guessing competitions m vogue at Palmerston North. The schedule was revised, and it was decided to strike out the thonnighbred classes, draught colt 3 years old and two years old, also for filly two and three' years old. A proposal was made to form a limited liability company and acquire the Claud elands property and develop the same. for purposes of shows, races, and general recreation ground. .Mr Farrer explained the idea which was favourably-seeeived,-rand a committee,... consisting of> Messrs J.
