SUICIDE.

(.By Telegraph.—Press Association.)

DUNEDIN, Monday.

Amy Susan Heather, 21 years of age, committed suicide to-day at Anderson's Bay bridge. She was seen in the water by a butcher, and he tried to aid her, but was unable to swim. He went to get a boat, but on returning there was no trace of her. Some of her clothes were found, and a letter to her mother, asking to be forgiven. The girl had been in bad health, and despondent for some time. The body has not yet been recovered.
