The s.s. Warrimoo leaves Wellington for Sydney on Saturday next, this being her first run iv the intercolonial trade.
The S.a, Hawea goes down to Chelsea tomorrow morning, and leaves ln the evening for Napier and the produce ports, returning to Auckland with a cargo of grain, etc.
TH£ s.s. Omapere leaves Wellington for Auckland on Friday next. Cargo for East Coast bays shipped by the Moura on Saturday next will catch the Omapere at Gisborne.
The sale of the brigantine Rotumah is reported. The vessel was long known in the iiontli Sea island trade. She is Norwegianbullt, of 225 tons, aud was formerly owned by Captain Kaad. Captain Herbert, oi Hobart, and another were the purchasers.
H.M.s. Blake will leave Sydney for England early in May in command ot Captain Dicken, R.N., now of. the Royal Arthur. Captain Dicken thus goes Home with his old crew. The Orient Company's K.M.s. Ortona will take Home the time-expired crew of the Tauranga, vow In reserve. The Itoyal Arthur, Itingarooma, Boonaerang.and K^arrakatta are now in port at Sydney.
Writing to the owners of the barque Otago, Captain Champion, the master of the vessel, gives a detailed account of her voyage from Kaipara to Me. bourne, and of the perilous experience the Otago had ln the g|le that sent the Federal to her doom. Captain Champion says that on several occasions the barque was in Imminent danger. She lost almost every stitch of canvas, and Captain Champion reckons that he must have been within 20 miles of the Federal when that ill-fated vessel went down. The fact that the Otago weathered The gale says much for the seu-going qualities of that old trader.
