THE ARCHES.

WELLINGTON, this day
The character of the designs for the arches which are to be erected by the Government in the four centres of the colony, in connection with the Royal visit, has been considered. There will be a constellated arch in frout of the Government Buildings in this city, an arch of classical design at Auckland, and in Scottish baronial style at Dunedin. No decision has yet been come to as to the style of the arch in.Christchurch.
