CONCILIATION CASES

WELLINGTON, Tuesday.
The hearing of the demands made -by the Napier Painters and Decorators' Union against the employers Will be taken in Wellington.
Recently the Hairdressers' Assistants' Union made demands.upon the employers for shorter hours of labour, increased rates of pay, aud a definite system as regards employment of apprentices. The demands were considered at a meeting of master hairdressers of the city and suburbs, and it was decided that it was impracticable to accede to the demands. It is expected the Conciliation Board will be asked to adjudicate in the matter,
