FOOTBALL.

NORTH SHORE ASSOCIATION F.C

The annual general meeting of the North Shore Association Football Club was held last evening at the Council Chambers, Deovnport, Mr C. C. Dacre presiding. The committee's report for the year showed that the senior team had made a good though unsuccessful fight for the championship last season, while the juniors, on the other hand, had won the challenge cup or the club for the first time, scoring no less than 56 goals against 8 by the opposing teams. The statement of accounts showed a credit balance of £2 18/4. The handsome badges presented by the Mayor (Mr J. C.. Maeky) had been won by th,e juniors, and other trophies won during the season were: —For the most consistent player in seniors, case of silver-mounted pipes, present' ed by Mr Geo. Creeth, won by J. Redman; for most consistent and impjjiorvecT players' in juniors, portable dressing-case, presented by Mr G. M* Reid,, won by Mr.Cotes (captain); for second best player1 in juniors, silver watch-chain, presented by Mr E. G. Skeates, won by E. Wilkinson. For the incoming season Mr W. R. Goudie had already promised a trophy, competition -for which would be open to all members of the club. Officers for the ensuing term Were elected as under:—President, Coldnel Burton; vice-presidents, as last year, with the addition of Messrs Little, E. G. Skeates, Malcolm Niocbl, J.,ft Gould, J. C. Webster; hon. sec.,. Mr 1, Redman; Kon. treasurer, Mr S. Best; captain, Mr R. Cave; vice-captain, Mr J. lied man; delegates to the association, Messrs. J. W. Burgess and S. Best; selection committee, Messrs ft. Cave, J. Redman, and W. G. Allen. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the outgoing secretary (Mr W, G. Allen) for past services.
