WAIHI GRAND JUNCTION.

WAIHT, this day.

Quite a stir was caused here to-day owing to the reported striking of another reef in the Grand Junction, which is supposed to be the Empire lode, in the south drive. The manager, however, refuses to give information,- as being against instructions. The rumour is, however, current property, and many insist that there is truth in the statement. The manager reports that the other lode in north drive is running north-east, and is almost straight up and down in lie.It is 23ft. through, and the water has now considerably drained off. The shaft at the west'section of the Grand Junction is now down 339 ft.
