THE BRICKLAYERS' STRIKE
At a meeting of bricklayers held I last eveningl, it was decided that if the Builders' Association do not accept the terms formerly suggested the bricklayers will adhere to their., old demand of 1/6 per hour for 47" : hours per week, dropping the odd hour. The Builders' Association have replied stating that the matter will " ; be left over till the Ist of -May, until, the Association have arranged with the labourers. The Association /do not anticipate that any difficulty will /; arise with th£ labourers, so that the arrangement may be expected to a come into force soon after the Ist ot May.' ' V :. .'■■'.'
