FATAL ACCIDENTS.

CHRISTCHURCH, this day,

; A man named William Parupea' died in the hospital this morning, choked by a piece of pork, which he' had failed to swallow the previous morning. He was about sixty years of age. An inquest will be held.

A man was found drowned in the Avon River at one o'clock this morning, 'near the Victoria-street bridge. The body lias fiot yet been identified.
