Successful fire brigade sports and a fireworks demotistratiqn were held last evening. A bicycle race of two miles resulted: F. Covenbrick (Hastings), 1; 11. Symonds (Hastings), 2. The aiarm and rush resulted: x\. E. Collet (Waipawa), 1; W. Graham (Hasting?), 2; H. Symonds, 3.
The Fire Brigades Competitions commenced this morning in pouring rain. Tbe results are: —
