The Reception Committee who made the arrangements for the Imperial troops' fete in the Domain on Saturday showed very little consideration for the police, of whom about thirty were present on the grounds. The police had an arduous and trying time, but they were not offered any refreshments during the whole of the day. This is on a par with the neglect of the local volunteers, who had to bring their lunches with them or go without, although they could easily have been given luncheon in a msirquee on tlie grounds.
Colonel Wyndham and several other officers of the Imperial Contingent, who got down from Rotorua this morning, were entertained to-daj' to a day's shoo-tlng" at Motutapu.
