THAMES.
In memoriam services were held in all the churches yesterday. At the morning service, held at St. George's Church, the Thames Rifles (late Thames Navals), and the Hauraki Rifle Corps, under the command of Capt. Adams, attended in company with their respective bands. The march through the town was conducted in silence, but the Thames Rifles Band played the anthem, "Vital Spark," and the Hauraki Band played the " Dead March " in " Saul," both at the commencement and conclusion of the service. The Rev. Dr. O'Callaghan preached an eloquent discourse. At the Wesleyan Church the evening service was largely attended. The Hauraki Band player" " Ora Pro Nobis" during the offertory, and the "Dead March "in " Saul" at the conclusion of the service, the congregation all standing. The Rev. J. Murray preached. The choir sang the anthem "Vital Spark."
