A poll of the ratepayers of the i Eden Terrace Road; Board Distinct ■vas taken in the Eden Terrace hall on Saturday, on the question of borrowing £3000 for the purpose of draining the district in a thorough manner. Although there are some 300 votes on the roll only 119 were recorded, which shows that the interest in the question Avas not very great. The ]o:in was authorised by a majority of 43 votes, and work will be proceeded with forthwith. The voting- (which was conducted by Mr W. O.
