At the Police Court on Saturday, before Mr H. W. Brabant, S.M., William Henry Whiteside "was fined £I■■; or seven days' hard labour fotf drunkenness. Mary Brown, alias Me* Intosh, was remanded till Monday on a similar charge. John Dunn was!" fined £2 or fourteen days' hard labou^ . for drunkenness and indecency, while! Michael Kiley, charged with drunkenness and obscene language, was re*manded till Saturday next. A similar;; remand was granted in the case oi John Duffy-, charged with breaking the dwelling-house of George Oleson* with intent to annoy him. "Robert J,' ; Galbraith was fined £2 and costs 7/f or 14 days' hard labour for being; found in the Avondale Hotel during the currency of a prohibition order, and Edward Lj-e 10/ and costs 7/ foij cycling on the footpath in New North' Road. Sub-Inspector Mitchell appear* ed for the prosecution in the abovs cases.
