THE NORTHERN CHIEF.

The barque Northern Chief arrived from Wollongoiig oarly this morning witli a curgo of coal and machinery. She left Wollougong on January 15, passed the North Cape on Monday morning lust, and arrived as above, anchoring in the stream to await inspection by the health officer. The barque will go up to Chelsea to-morrow morning to discharge, and will then proceed to the Kaipara to load timber for Sydney.
