I WAXOAXUI, this day. I Yesterday morning nn impressive fmeriiorial service was held at Christ |('hureh (Anglican), and last night a |»reat united memorial service was jjhekl in the Opera House. The place |was packed, nearly 3000 people being Iprcsent, while hundreds were unable 31 o gain admission. The volunteers, Fire brigade and Garrison Rand atitended. also the Mayor and Borough Addresses were delivered by the Epvs. (i. Tiond (Wesleyan). it, j"M. Ryburn (Presbyterian), and .T, M. i Marshall (Anglican). Hymns approSpriate to the solemn occasion were Isung by the great assembly, and at tthe dose of the service the "Deadj March" in "Saul" was played by thef band. I WELLINGTON, Thursday. I A special memorial service is to bet held at St. Paul's Cathedral, Welling-I ton, at li o'clock on Sunday afler-| noon. J Tn the evening- the citizens' memojrial service, called by the Mayor, was| held in the Agricultural Half. There! fsvas a very large attendance.
