South British Insurance shares
changed hands at 73/ to-day, with buyers left at 74/, and no sellers quoted under 76/. Colonial Sugar shares were wanted at £40 10/, and Bank of New South Wales at £45, but holders did not quote. There were also buyers of Union Steam at £ 11, New Zealand Shipping £5 10/, and Northern Steam 16/, but no shares were offered. Mm
ing stocks were not quite so firm on the average, but Chelmsi'ords maintained the recent advance, being wanted at 3/v Enquiries were made today for Four-in-Hands at 2/(5. Other lines were unchanged, May Queen Extendeds again selling at Ski.
