WAR MATERIAL SHIPPED AS COALS.

ROME, December 3.1

The steamer Afghanistan is ashore at Sicily. She purported to be laden with coal for Juboutil, but has in reality guns and ammunition from Marseilles. The Afghanistan is a steel screw steamer of 2753 tons. She was built at Hartlepool in 1897, and was owned by the Anglo-Algerian S.S. Co., of Swansea.
