LATE RACING.
AUCKLAND R.C. SUMMER MEETING.
Mr D. O'Brien's team, which compete at the A.R.C. Summer _>eting, were safely landed from the s.s. Ngapuhi at the Manukau yesterday. They were got up from Lyttelton without a scratch, "and were at once taken on to the roomy boxes at the Ellerslie Hotel. The team consists of Malatua, Military, Peerage, and a two-year-old named Calibre. Outracing reporter had a look over the team in the afternoon. The commanding Malatua has a hardened appearance and is very well, while no fault can be found with the condition of the others. MiO'Brien has *mairy friends in Auckland who will rejoice if the ex-owner of Carbine and Trenton picks up several races at the meeting. The team were exercised at Ellerslie this morning and came in for great admiration.
R. J. Mason left Lyttelton yesterday with Mr Stead's team.
All the visiting horses should arrive during this week.
La Gloria ls favourite for the Auckland Cup at 5 to 1, Coronet, Miss Delaval and Fulmen being quoted at 7 to 1.
