WELLINGTON, this day.
Wind: Moderate to strong from between the north and west and south-west generally during the next 20 hours, then changing between north-east, north and west, increasing. Barometer: Fall everywhere. Sea: Considerable, increasing botn coasts. Tides: Generally good, and increasing. Rain is probable in most parts of the country after midnight. Synopsis of the last 48 hours: Slowly increasing pressure everywhere. There has been a gale from the southward on the east coast, with rain, but it decreased during Sunday. liow pressure from west will pass east of the meridian of South Cape late tomorrow. Evidences indicate that pressure is low in the Tasman Sea about lat. 25 south long. 165 east, travelling south-east.
