NEW ZEALAND ACCOUNTANTS AND AUDITORS ASSOCIATION.

The usual monthly meeting of the Council of the Association was held at the office of the registrar (Mr J. Henry Mackie) on Friday last. Mr E. Way mouth occupied the chair. The chief business was the consideration of applications for membership. Four candidates for admissiin belonging to Dunedin were elected Fellows of the Association, and one, belonging to Auckland, was elected an Associate of the Association. Members of Council, who recently returned from the South, spoke hopefully of the prospects of. the Association in the several centres visited. It was found that inquiries continued to be made by men of undoubted commercial standing and professional capacity as to admission into the ranks of the Association. *
