MONOWAI GOLD MINES.

Recently 37 tons of concentrates from the"Monowai Gold Mines, Waiomo, were shipped to Cockle Creek, N S W.; for treatment by the Sulphide Corporation, Ltd. Yesterday's mail brought results of the treatment, showing that gold valued at £434 3/4 was saved, the average value being £11 13/9 per ton. The charges on the shipment amounted to £24 19/G, giving net proceeds £409 3/10. Another 70 tons of concentrates are now on the way-to Cockle Creek from this company.
