The output of gold for the nine months-ended September 30 totals 284,029. ounces, valued at £1,100,644, as compared with 286,526 ounces, valued at. £1,111,883 for the corresponding nine months of last year. There is a decrease from all centres,, except Marlboroug-Ii and -Nelson, : which> have yielded ,524 ounces, and .3187 ounces respectively* ivhile last year they -ivere for the period non-producers. The total quantity of gold entered for exportation from New Zealand, between April 1, 1857, and September 30, 1900, amounts to 14,519,914 ounces, valued at £57,067,142. ,
