There was a large attendance at Hall & Perkins' auction mart to-day, when the leaseholds of City Council in Wakeiiekl, Cook, Beresf.ord, Howe. Hopetonii, Wynyard, Picton and Stanley streets, and Ponsonby rind Grafton Uoads were auctioned. Two allotments in Picton-strett (lots 36 and 30). were sold for £"> a year apiece (the upset price). There was briskbidding- for lots 1 and 2, Domain allotment ■ ••' No. 3, Stanley-street, and these sold for £12 15/ and £11.5/ respectively. The upset price for each of these allotments "was £10. The remaining properties were passed in, but inquiries were subsequently made for some of them.
