THIRD HEADINGS. Tn the Legislative Council yesterday afternoon the Local Bodies Loans Act Amendment Bill and inspection of Machinery Act Amendment Bill were put through final stages. PUBLIC HEALTH. The reasons of the House of Representatives "for disagreeing with certain amendments made by the Council in the Public Health Bill were considered. The amendment made in the definition of local authority which the House objected to on the ground that it tli rows the whole burden on borough and county councils was insisted on by 30 to 5, The amendment abolishing arm to arm vaccination was insisted on by 30 to 5, and by 27 to 9 the Council insisted on its amendment providing that no public vaccinntor shall be appointed unless he Is a medical practitioner.

The Hous. G. McLean, VV. Jennings and G. Jones were appointed a committee to confer with a committee from the House on the subject of these amendments. POST OFFICE BILL. The Post-office Bill wasp lit throughits committee stage, without amendment, read a third time, and passed. GOVERNMENT RAILWAYS. The Government Eailwnys Bill was partially considered in committee and the Council rose at 5 p.m.
