MEETINGS, ENTERTAINMENTS, ETC.

A capital Band of Hope entertainment was held in the Primitive Methodist Church, Richmond Road, last evening. In spite of the rough weather there was a large attendance. The-Rev. W. S. Potter presided, and a good programme was gone through. The Misses Over (2), Miss Welch and Mr Brown gave recitations, Mrs Whittaker. and Miss Granger sang solos, Miss Wood and Mr Ovenden supplied instrumental selections on the mandolin, and Mr Wilcox gave a capital address. Miss Lovatt presided at the organ, and votes of thanks brought a good meeting to a close. ' . ■
