[Pechili, or Chili, is the northernmost province of China, a.nd has an area of 57,250 square miles. It includes both Tientsin and Pelcin, but does not extend so far south as Wei-hai-^vei, or Kaio-Chau, the British and German possessions, -winch are in the province of Shan-tung.J
