A BRITISH KRUGER.

Lieutenant J. Myburg- Kruger, of the Imperial Yeomanry Scouts, who escaped recently from, the Boers al> Reteif's Nek, south of Bethlehem, arrived in Bloemfontein lately. He says that the guns now with General de Wet are those captured from the British at Sannah's Post. He saw many Boers dressed up in British officers' uniforms, with swords, etc. They had a lot of waggons, but could not say whether the}' were stocked or not. The majority of the Boers were sick of fighting, but werci kept together more by Steyn's lies than anything else. There were, however, many only awaiting their opportunity to escape. Some Boers with the commando had British permits, and these were being- used by scouts to enable them to pass through the British lines as fton-combatants.
