The four days' racing of the Spring Meeting of the Australian Jockey Club, ffbich commences on Saturday next at ;Randwick, promises to be a very big gathering this year. The Ballarat colt jlalster has been taken over to run in the ngrby, and he should make a big bid for tfce honour. In the Spring Stakes, which [ S run over a mile and a-half at weight-for-age, Lascaster will be pitted against the cream of Australian horses, so that he -will have an opportunity of being thoroughly tested. Last forfeit for the Epsom Handicap, one mile, also run on Saturday, is due to-morrow at 4 p.m. There is every likelihood of a big field eoine t° tne postl AltnouSh Dandy is burdened with 9.4, he is likely to go to the post favourite. His deeds at weight-for-age this season at Sydney have been lull of merit, and, from all accounts, it will take a good one to bring about his defeat. Reviver (5.5), Allinga (7.11), and Ampier (7.4) are put forth as a speedy trio who possess uncommonly good chances. Blue Metal is another whose prospects are highly voiced.
