NEW ZEALAND CONTINGENTS.

WELLINGTON, Monday. The Premier to-day received the following cable messages:—
From Sir Alfred Milner, dated September 2: "E. 'W. Lestrange, First New Zealand Mounted Infantry, released by the enemy, arrived at Warmbad, August SO."
From Major Cradock, dated Pretoria, September 2: "Eeturned to-day from Eustenburg expedition.' Eegret to report No. 386, Eeid (Dunedin) died of enteric fever at Johannesburg, Bth ult. Liuetenant Findlay and Captain Hutson have received wotfnds. The former is returning. The latter has gone to England. No. 357, E. H. Hedworth, is progressing favourably. We are marching east to-morrow under Mahon."
From Colonel Eobin: "Jowsey rejoining. Gilbertson, Collett, and Powell, and 220 horses, of Ormazan, received to-day. Police expected to rejoin about September 25. Lieutenant Seddon here yesterday. Health at front good."
