Under The Married Persons Summary Separation. Act, Magistrate Bush to-day-made a separation order aguinst, John McCabe, on the application of his wife, Mary Josephine McCabe, . At the Coromandel County Council meeting' yesterday, it was resolved on the mo> tion of Mr Swindley, "That slaughtering licenses be granted to all applicants subject to the recommendations contained in the reports being carried out within a month, and that extracts from the reports be forwarded to each applicant named, and that each applicant be also informed that: no pigs will be allowed to be kept within a distance of 100 yards of any slaughterhouse."
Mr G. Cruickshank, solicitor, wrote to the County Council demanding payment of £126, alleged to be due to Mr S. Phair for extra work done at Opitonui. ■ The. Council decided to inform Mr Cruickshank that a voucher had been passed for £22 10/ the amount due for extras on Mr Ph'air's contract, county roads. '
