WEATHER REPORT.
J (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Wind—Gale from between west and south west and south at all places north of Cape Egmont and Napier, and from between north west and west and southwest elsewhere. Barometer—Rise at all places north of Cape Egmont and Napier, fall everywhere else but rising after from 12 to 20 hours. Sea—Heavy on all west coast and on East coast south of Castlepoint after from 12 to 30 hours; moderate elsewhere. Tides—High on West (coast north of. Farewell and on East coast south of Castlepoint, poor from thence to East Cape, moderate all other places. Rain Is to be expected in all parts of the country. Warning signals for westerly gale 3 are exhibited at Cape Maria and Tin, and for northerly gales at Capes Camptell, Farewell, and Fowlwind. Synopsis of the last 24 hours—Very little movement or pressure anywhere, wltn moderate to strong westerly winds, and generally fine wather, but rain has fallen heavily at Pembroke, and a little at some northern stations. There was light frost last night at Tophouse, Blenheim, and Bealey. Low pressure from West will pass East of the meridian of South Cape late tonight. Others will probably pass on the 23rd and 25th insts.
